‘Poorna’, an eleven-year-old boy, runs away from his village and comes to a rapidly growing cosmopolitan determined to locate alcohol joints that sell alcohol made from a particular fruit (Mahua), he begins wandering the streets of the city. His quest is punctuated as the committee for the care and aid of children take him in custody and admit him in an observation home Poorna reveals that he needs to find a place called ‘Deid gully’ (Lane one and Half) where, one of his fathers friends, sells the Mahua alcohol. A resolute Poorna runs away from the observation home to continue his search. This film is Poorna’s journey to seek answers, A journey that raises several questions. |
