Alkistis-Sevasti Attikouzel (born October 18, 1954, Alexandria), better known as Alkistis Protopsalti (Άλκηστις Πρωτοψάλτη), is a Greek singer. She was Deputy Minister of Tourism of Greece in the caretaker government of Vasiliki Thanos from August 27 to September 23, 2015. She has collaborated with the most important Greek composers, lyricists and directors. She has represented Greece worldwide at many official events, including at the European Union Leaders Summit, at the European Union Foreign Ministers Summit, at the celebration of 35 years of Greek-Chinese friendship at the Forbidden City Theater in Beijing, at the celebration of re-opening of the Library of Alexandria, at Expo exhibitions in Lisbon and Berlin, at official events of the Patriarchate in both Halki and Constantinople. She has also performed her songs at the Metropolitan Museum of New York and the Moscow Opera. |
