Zandra Paxton (she/her) is a proudly Disabled and hard of hearing multidisciplinary theater maker based in New York City. Paxton primarily focuses on creating work by and for the Disabled community. Her personal brand consists of melodrama, comedy, and a dash of sexy. Living in the realm of autofiction, her work confronting the fact that in order to see anyone like herself represented on the stage, she has to write those roles into existence. As a writer, she is interested in the ways our perceptions hold the power to actively warp our reality. She explores this phenomenon most notably in the domestic and mundane—the spaces often overlooked—and how these places bring forward the ability to mold our own perspectives. |
