Overview: NEPAL, KATHMANDU: Wherever I go in this world I like to stay in hotels in the $30 to $40 range. Even in Europe or America it's generally possible to find something in that range. You just have to compromise a lot on quality, amenities and comfort. But how cheap can a hotel room get if you're willing to compromise on hygiene, cleanliness, amenities, quality (essentially everything) in a country like Nepal? Well, that's what I set out to investigate as I left the relative comfort of my $100 suite hotel room to search for Kathmandu's cheapest hotel room.
