Overview: SRI LANKA, HIKKADUWA: Before leaving my luxurious hotel, where the food was nothing short of superb, I expected my new life in a tiny Sri Lankan village in Hikkaduwa would be somewhat difficult when it comes to food. I couldn't have been more wrong. My neighbors, who own the house I'm staying in, have cooked up one delicious meal after another for the entire duration of my stay. So what's my favorite dish thus far? It's hard to pick just one but Sri Lankan pancakes are easily in the top 3. So how are they made and what do these delicious pancakes look like?
