Overview: At Phyllis' party, Victoria meets Jewish music student Emil Schwartz. Elizabeth is pursued by writer Ambrose Fielding and later makes a discovery about him. Victoria helps Elizabeth solve a problem, but it backfires, resulting in bitter feelings from Phyllis. Victoria and Elizabeth return to Larkfield Manor to find the unlikeliest friends.
