Overview: Ibn Battuta bids Nawara farewell. Before he goes her father gifts him an Astrolabe to aid in his journey. Ibn Battuta meets a merchant and trades his horse for a camel and heads to the desert despite the warnings of a heat wave. He becomes delirious with dehydration and sees mirages. He ends up stumbling upon the Tabuk Oasis and finds a man that claims he will aid Ibn Battuta in reaching Mecca.
