Overview: Ibn Battuta still tries to discourage using violence, but the headman contacts a weapon merchant and arranges a deal. The Sultan discovers that the headman is trying to stir things up and orders the commander to get rid of him and those with him. The commander agrees but secretly plans to eliminate the Sultan himself because of the Sultan’s tyranny.
