Overview: Our stage this time is Teuri, an island sitting in the Sea of Japan in the west of Hokkaido. There are about 300 varieties of wild birds on the island. Our program host visits an observatory above the cliffs, observing the world’s largest breeding ground for Rhinoceros Auklets, and watching its battle over fish with a black-tailed Gull. Later, we show you rare footage of a Spectacled Guillemot catching fish in the water and returning to its nest. |
