Overview: Adaptation of the Putlizer Prize-winning comedy by John Patrick, based on the novel by Vern Sneider. A US Army captain is sent to teach the fundamentals of democracy and industry to the resident of a small village in occupied Japan. The first reconstructed local industry turns out to be a teahouse staffed with traditional geishas.
