Overview: His new surroundings have stimulated the imagination of Peter Standish, a young American who has moved into a mansion in present-day Berkeley Square, London. In 1784 a namesake of his, also American, had visited this house. Standish longs to travel back through time and become this 18th century visitor. His longing becomes a reality.
