Overview: Between 1965 and 1972, the Ispector Maigret was interpreted by Gino Cervi in four cycles for a total of sixteen films for TV - in addition to one made for the big screen - all directed by Mario Landi. The series in black and white were produced and broadcast by RAI and the success was such that the last series managed to glue 18 million and a half television viewers and Simenon later declared that for him Gino Cervi "went very well" in role of the Ispector.
