Overview: Mareech and Subahu are defeated by Ram and Lakshman. Ram spares their lives and lets them go. Kaikeyi tells Manthara that her animosity is with Dashrath and not with Ram. Dashrath announces an Ashwamedh Yagna. Ram is upset as the horse used for the ritual is sacrificed.
