Kelvin Dodzi Amewu is a celebrated and Award Winning filmmaker from Ghana, and the Visionary Creator, Writer and Director of Ghana’s First Children’s Movie. He is a prolific Writer, A Video Editor and a Webmaster. He is the Chief Executive Officer of Magnificent Creations Multimedia (MC MULTIMEDIA), a media production house that offers high quality, but low-cost services to clients across Africa and beyond. He is also the brain behind www.dodzi.net, an all-inclusive online platform strictly designed to Connect and celebrate creative people in Africa. …. . He started his career as Writer and Director of stage plays with his first stage production titled “Handcuffed” in 2001. By age 20, he had already Directed ten plays with the biggest being “Moonshine Solidarity” – A typical Nigerian Pidgin English play, written by Tunde Lakoju, and staged at the University of Ghana, Legon in 2006. For two years, he was Assistant Producer to the Producer / Director of Ghana’s most popular and most watched Kids TV programme “SMARTKIDS’ which aired on Ghana’s National Television Station GTV. He later became an Associate Writer and Director for Smartkids. In 2009, Kelvin also worked with Bullseye Ltd. producers of Masem, a porpular TV programme on TV3. In 2008 Kelvin Dodzi Amewu was Technical Director for a Poetry Peace Concert “Bullets in my abdomen”organised by INKGROW – Ghana and Directed by Nii Commey, towards Ghana’s Election 2008.. He has in addition facilitated other theatrical productions like Nii Comey’s Stage Comedy “Romantic Nonsense” staged at the National Theatre in 2009 and “Eclipse of the Heart” – 2010. In March 2011, For the first time in Ghana, He facilitated the launch of Ghana’s First children's movie titled“Mekel’s Angels”, subtitled This is our Story. Other successful movies by Kelvin Dodzi Amewu includes KIKIBUTI (2012) and M.I.S (2016) He is currently working on a Franchise titled Gamers Paradise, a series for Television and Online. Due to his hard work and unflinching support for Talent Development, management and promotion, he was celebrated and awarded on the 31st of March 2017 at the Coca Cola Young Achievers Award for his outstanding performance in Media and Entertainment.
