Mario Cecchini is a graduate from Algonquin College. He began his career as a Research Analyst at Telemedia in 1984 before being promoted to Executive Vice President in Ontario, then Vice President, Sales in Canada. From 2003 to 2003, he was President and Chief Operating Officer of Zoom Média. In 2006, he joined Corus Quebec as Vice President where he oversaw the turnaround of Corus’ radio operations in Quebec. From 2011 to 2013, Cecchini held the position of Senior Vice-President, Sales, Research and Marketing at Astral Radio, the radio division of Astral Media. In September 2013, he was named President, Corus Média & Head of Eastern Ontario, Radio and Television. In 2015, he was additionally appointed President of Corus Radio. Cecchini was named President of the Montreal Alouettes in January 2020.
