Izz ad-Din Tabo or (Ezz El Din Tabou) was born in 1940 in Aziziyah, Iraq. His diverse career spanned cinema, theater, television and radio. He obtained a Bachelor's degree from the College of Fine Arts, and participated in most of the plays of the National Acting Troupe. Ezz El-Din Tabou participated in many television series, most notably The Traveler with the famous Iraqi singer Kadim Al Sahir in the nineties. He also participated in a number of Iraqi films, including: King Ghazi (1993). In the last years of his life, Tabou lived in austere conditions, because of his refusal to participate in any work that he was not convinced of in order to preserve his legacy. He passed away after a long struggle with an incurable disease. |
